A WORD ABOUT OUR INSTITUTION, ITS AIMS AND ASPIRATIONS :
It is a widely – acknowledged fact that the medical personnel could adequately cater the requirements of the society at large. In this context, it is worth mentioning that the role of paramedical personnel is no less significant on par with medical personal and both are complementary to each other. Needless to streas that in the absence of availability of paramedical human resources, the clinical field would receive a great setback and could hardly expect to fulfill its obligations to fuller extent.
It is pertinent to recall that the Government of Andhra Pradesh having realized the existing lacunae in this field, most gracefully, came forward with a policy by inventing the prospective and enterprising people for establishing institutions for imparting medical and paramedical courses in the state.
As a ready response to the encouragement and inspiration given by the Goverement of Andhra Pradesh, we came forward in establishing a Public Charitable Trust at Visakhapatnam with the main object of imparting training to paramedical personnel, encourage research and along with offering treatment to needy people.
The Charitable Trust has been formed in 1997 in the name and style of ‘VISAKHA ACADEMY OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES CHARITABLE TRUST, VISAKHAPTANM” with eminent personalities of national stature in their respective fields, mostly from medical profession hailing from various parts of the country are closely associated with this institution as its Trustees.

OBJECTS :
To establish aid and maintain paramedical institutions, to impart medical education at all stages for the promotion of health awareness and medical sciences for diffusion of useful knowledge for the whole of India .
However primacy will be given to protect the interests of the rural and tribal people of the country.
To maintain highest academic and clinical standards in paramedical sciences in association with the reputed institutions both in India and abroad.
To invite distinguished professionally eminent personalities from abroad to ensure better interaction with them and share their rich experience and knowledge in medical sciences.
To conduct seminars, work shops and arrange guest lectures of reputed faculty members from India and abroad.
To afford opportunities for high quality research in the institutions and endeavour to sponsor desirable proven candidates abroad to develop their research skills.
· To devise ways and means and ccord facilities to specialize in all or any of the above subjects.
To carry on activities of any other charitable purposes and activities with similar objectives.
To assist public by all possible means for elevation of human distress or suffering in any form without any distinction of caste, creed, colour and sex.
To maintain and promot welfare service to the physically, mentally handicapped and financially backward people.
To find out ways and means of solving the acute scarcity of para medical force in this part of the country as well as the whole.
To achieve the above goals, in a humble way our Trust has ventured to start a Physiotherapy College at Visakhapatnam in the year 1999 with the permission of Government of Andhra Pradesh and Affiliated to Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
