Physiotherapy, one of the ancient medical science of the world is the mode of treating  patients who may have movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder or disability by means of exercises, mobilization, manipulation, electrotherapy and cryotherapy,  The treatment assures the patient to regain as independent life from dependant life and rehabilitates the person to this normal life.

 

Nowadays the importance of Physiotherapy is growing day-by-day . As medical science is advancing, the application of physiotherapy is extended to super speciality branches like Cardiorespiratory, General surgery, Plastic surgery and other special branches of medical sciences.  

 

Infrastructure and Facilities:

 

Spacious and elegant building is provided for running VAPMS College of Physiotherapy . All the infrastructure stipulated and required such as the class rooms, laboratories, library and reading room are provided. Laboratory equipment is highly adequate surpassing the norms of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences and efforts are being made to improve the facilities from time to time. In addition to the clinical training at King George Hospital , Visakhapatnam , Andhra Medical College- Viskhapatnam, an out-patient unit was set up in the premises of King George Hospital to treat patients and train our students. Authentic books on various disciplines in Physiotherapy by Indian and Foreign authors are made available in the Library for reference and regular utilization by the students.

 

Hostel accommodation is providing for both girls and boys. Serene and congenial atmosphere for study, interaction with efficient teachers, Qualitative education, constant supervision and regular assessment are the hallmarks of VAPMS
